Applications are now open for Scotland’s new government-backed virtual training programme for the hospitality industry.

Scotland’s Hospitality Industry Trust alongside the Scottish Tourism Alliance, have announced their new leadership, supervisory and management training programme for people working in the sector.

As part of a government supported initiative, there will be up to 975 places available for groups of up to 25 in each session.

The virtual programme will be divided into three categories including supervisory, management and leadership workshops.

The new programme is now available and people aged over 16 can make their application up until 5th February.

As part of the government’s initiative for the hospitality industry, the new programme is aimed to provide training support to Scotland’s hospitality and tourism industry, with candidates who are working full-time, part time, or on furlough eligible to apply.

As Scotland’s tourism sector continues to face a national lockdown, new programmes and initiatives are being put into place to assist industries and to up-skill sectors ahead of the economy unlocking later this year.
